Test administrators, who administered the baseline tests,
were given one full day’s training immediately prior to the
commencement of testing. Strict procedures for carrying
out the tests were established, for example, exactly the same
wording was to be used by all testers when administering
the tests with strict adherence to the instructions as set out
in the test manuals. Test administrators were advised on
how to put children at their ease before starting the testing.
All tests were administered in the same order with the
same intervals of time between the tests. Group testing
(22 classes in total) was completed within 2 weeks. Two
testers were assigned to each class.
