He was looking for his friends when I tapped him on the shoulder. His hand was covering his eyes to get a better view and he turned quickly when I touched him. He looked a little disgusted at first but then Leon jumped inside of his mouth as he screamed.
“That will never get old.” I smiled as I shifted in my shorts. The guy jumped around for a bit, his crotch bouncing around as Leon put on a show. People started staring and then I gestured for him to hurry up. “I already got his keys, c’mon.” I was uncomfortably smiling at the heads that turned towards us. Leon let out a chuckle as he stretched on the way to his car, feeling up his chiseled body.
“Dude, this guy is hot. Also, he really should put on sunscreen.” He touched a small spot on his arm that was already burning. I buckled in and threw him the keys. It didn’t take long for him to back out of the parking lot and speed away. He eventually slowed down as to avoid the authorities. As we drove, the trees slowly started to increase in numbers, surrounding us like a group of bullies. The window allowed the air to rush through the car, my hair being tossed around by the force. Sign after sign passed by and we ended up taking an empty road towards the small town of Terrell. The sign on the city call claimed it to be more than a town but the area of land was very small. City hall was the largest building with a clock tower sticking up the side. This is where the fire house was stationed as well as multiple other emergency services. We continued driving past the white building and onto a dirt road, bully branches reaching towards us to get a good hit at the car. Eventually, the trees cleared and we reached a house surrounded by a white picket fence. We parked outside and started walking. There was an abrupt change in terrain from the dirt of the road to the perfectly green grass of the front yard. We opened the gate and walked up to the door but before we could even knock we were met Cassandra.
“Hello, boys! I’ve been waiting for you! I’m Cassandra.” She held out her hand and invited us inside. The door locked on its own behind us. “I have to do that because this town is full of kids who like to poke around. Especially with the rumors about me being a witch. They’re totally true by the way.” We were escorted into a living space which was decorated with modern furniture. I was in awe. “Did you expect me to be living in a cottage with dusty bookshelves and black cauldron? You can do most spells and potions with simple cooking equipment, you know.” A teapot poured us tea on its own, steam disappearing the higher it went. I looked at Leon who was still in his underwear and I shrugged. The tea was delicious and the lemon taste remained even after I finished the cup. “So, you want to get rid of the reapers.”
“Well, not get rid of. More like avoid.” Leon put down his cup and saucer with a slight clink.
