2.5.2. Bulk density
In order to get the bulk density, a container with a known volume and weight, which were 20 ml and 24.9 g, respectively, was filled with the sample. The container was tapped without compressing the sample and the excess was removed by sweeping the surface of the container with a ruler (Sahin and Sumnu, 2006). The weight of the sample with the container was determined by an electronic balance (OHAUS, Adventurer ARD110, China). Tapping and weighting procedure continued until constant weight was reached. Then, bulk density was calculated by taking the ratio of the weight of sample and volume of the container in kg/m3
