The purpose of this study is to understand the tourism promotion strategies in
Taiwan and Japan and then find what Taiwan needs to improve. The following is
divided into two parts: the conclusion and suggestions for further studies.
There are three research questions in this study: How does Taiwan promote its
tourism? How does Japan promote its tourism?; And what strategies can Taiwan use
to improve its tourism?.
According to the results, both Taiwan and Japan use television media and the
internet as tools to publicize tourism most. However, Japan also uses print media.
This is what Taiwan needs to strengthen. Because there are still many people choose
to update their traveling information by reading newspaper or magazines. Needless to
say, Taiwan has to provide enough information for foreign travelers on more tracts in
order to fascinate more tourists into Taiwan.
