The headspace VOCs from fresh cut apples were measured by
placing a single apple disc in a 250-mL glass jar was held in a
water bath (30 C) for 30 min.
The headspace VOCs were measured through a direct injection into the PTR-ToF-MS 8000 using a heated polyether ether
ketone (PEEK) tube (110 C, 0.055 in. Ø)inserted through the spectrum, at a flux flow rate of 50 sccm.
