Pike (2008) mentioned there are four levels of destination marketing organisation these include national tourism office, state tourism office, regional tourism organisation, or convention and visitor bureau as referred to in other countries; and local tourism office. These destination marketing organisations performs different functions in the promotion and marketing of tourism destinations within their jurisdictions. These categories of destination management and marketing organisations are discussed in the following sub-sections.
