a strong trend (p ¼ 0.054) existed
for improvement the overall/total SF-12 score in our participants
after the yoga intervention, and the very large effect size (d ¼ 1.30)
indicates that this may be clinically relevant. The results of our
study and that of Halpern and colleagues suggests that a yoga
intervention can improve some aspects of perceived health and
wellness, and the degree of improvement (or lack thereof) likely
depends on the baseline characteristics of the participant group.
