Monte Carlo simulation was applied to evaluate the uncertainties
in the dietary exposure and risk estimation. The simulations
were run for 10,000 iterations to ensure the stability of
results with each input values randomly selected from their
respective probability distributions. Sensitivity analysis was used to
determine the extent of the influence of each input parameter on
the estimated results. We evaluated the sensitivity by calculating
Spearman's rank correlation coefficients between each input and
output values and then squaring the output variance and normalizing
to 100%. The Monte Carlo simulation and sensitivity analysis
were implemented using MATLAB 7.10.0.499 (R2010a).
