The Analytical technique such as differential pulse anodic stripping
voltammetry was used to record the voltammogram in the potential
range of −0.4 to 0.4 V after 20 s quiescence. The accumulation of
mercury was facilitated at modified interface for about 240 s at an open
circuit potential in a pH 8 buffer solution with pulse amplitude of
0.01 V and pulse width of 0.05 s. Then electrode was taken out and
washed with distilled water and placed in another cell containing 0.1 M
hydrochloric acid. A reduction potential of −0.4 V is applied for 30 s
and subsequently stripped off from the electrode surface.
