The study analyses the transfer of learning from the
perspective of the blended learning approach in the
context of higher education. Therefore, a 14-week
experimental study is designed, and the pre- and posttest
control group model is used in the study. There are
two randomly assigned groups in the model, namely
the experimental group and the control group. While
the experimental group has both online and classroom
sessions, the control group has only face-to-face classroom
sessions. The study is administered through an
educational technology course titled ‘Multimedia
Design and Production’. The aim of this course is to
provide information to the students about visual design
principles and Mayer’s (2001) multimedia learning
theory.
