results suggest that depth cultivation is themain factor that
affects the growth of K. alvarezii, because in most of the
experiments showing a higher RGR (Table 4), algae were
cultured on surface floating ropes, whereas in the present
study and that developed by Eswaran et al. (2002)
showing a lower RGR, algae were cultured at different
depths (0.00 to 0.90 m and 1.00 to 2.00 m, respectively
