Should you receive a call informing you that a bomb or any type of explosive device may be in the hotel :
1. Person receiving call – stay with the call and do not transfer the call because it could result in the loss of vital information.
2. Attempt to attract the attention of someone else and inform them of the situation, without distracting caller.
3. Do not panic!
4. KEEP THE CALLER ON THE LINE. Get as much information as the caller will answer (see Bomb Threat Checklist attached). Ask questions such as :
• WHEN is it set to go off?
• WHERE is the bomb/explosive located?
• How is it built?
• WHAT does it look like?
• WHY are you doing this ?
5. Notify the following personnel immediately call and have them report to the Front Office area:

• ALL MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL ON DUTY
• HM OR FRONT OFFICE SUPERVISOR
• ANY STAFF WHO IS ON PROPERTY
6. Advise them that a search has been initiated.
7. Await further instruction from HM.
8. The following individuals must be contacted or advised that we did, in fact, have a bomb threat

• Country Head
• CORT if above not reachable
