• The purpose of this study was to develop and test models that can be used as predictors of community support, or lack thereof, for commercial gaming.
• Specifically, the study examined the role of the factor that contribute to legalization and/or probation of gambling activities using artificial neural networks.
• Model-2 (predicting “yes” votes) correctly predicted 198 out of 257 counties that would vote for gaming.
