for reaching rural communities. In India, the state of Tamil Nadu
is making notable progress in online citizen services in Tamil and
English languages, especially Web-based information such as land
records, birth and death certificates, subsidy schemes, geographical
information systems (GIS), college admission forms and examination
results (UNDP, 2008). In spite of the number of projects oriented
towards the transfer of technologies through ICTs, still the
acceptability and utilization of ICTs are very low in the rural areas.
This created the need of investigating knowledge, benefits, level of
satisfaction and constraints in utilization of ICT–VICs by dairy
farmers. Hence an attempt was made to identify the factors associated
with utilization of ICT enabled the Village Information Centre
by the dairy farmers of Tamilnadu.
