How were daily meetings and singing being done in the Shaker community?
Both males and females lived in separate communal houses.
Most of their daily meetings for conversation and singing, males and females sat opposite each other. Even when they danced and whirl around during worship, men and women kept their distance.
The men were asked to wear dark pants and simple coats for their daily meetings for conversation.
The ladies combed their hair back under a cap and wore long dresses with a cloth that covered the chest when they attend meetings for conversation.
