Conclusion
The results of the study reveal that reciprocal
peer counselling is effective in
enhancing the self-concept of individuals;
sex has no effect on the self-concept ofthe
adolescents. It can be concluded that peer
influence can be positive and that the peer
group-counselling encounter can be psychologically
rewarding. Also there was no
significant difference in the way males and
females perceive themselves in the study.
This shows that peer counselling is a technique
that can be used for the enhancement
of self-concept for both sexes
