If Bangkok’s oft-maligned street vendors rebranded their sidewalk stalls as “flea markets,” maybe their image problem would go away.
Flea markets, after all, are beloved by the urbane set escaping shopping malls and their monotonous, machine-made marketing for something more genuine. People who feel a free Yellow Fang concert every Saturday is a fundamental human right.
Well it’s becoming a weekly thing at The Jam Factory, which this Saturday and Sunday will host the “Knack Market.”
“The Knack Market is not just market but it is also about love and lives,” explains the event organizer.
Not a bad place to get your indie-hippie vibe on with its big tree and green yard. Folks can search for the heart of creativity with arty-crafty stuff, design wares, books, furniture items and more to shop while they eat all the food. Reflect upon those “love and lives” as your heart soars with live music and arty activities. Sorry, no Yellow Fang.
