Ash concentration decreased significantly with increase in inter-cutting interval from 1 to 6 months, with no further decline (Table 4). Highest concentrations occurred in Muaklek (11.4%), followed by Common (9.3%) and Bana (8.3%) (P < 0.01). Thus, ash concentration was negatively correlated with cellulose and lignin concentrations (r = −0.939, P < 0.001, and r = −0.923, P < 0.001, respectively) over the five cutting intervals (Table 4).
