On top of mount djakrawan, whose peak rise into heaven, there lived a demon, hiran the golden. He was a very powerful ogre, but wished to be ever more so, and so decided to augment his might by a cunning scheme. He sat in meditation for a very long time, until he was noticed by pra isuan, lord of the universe. Pra isuan was pleased by this seeming piety and granted his request.
Hiren was jubilant, believing that he held unchallengeable sway over all the princes, kings and beings in the three Worlds; heaven, Earth, and the Underworld. In order to demonstrate his might, he pried the surface of the earth from its foundation, rolled it up like a carpet, and disappeared into the underworld kingdom of badan. There he strutted and roared, and threatened and bullied everyone he met.
Everything the giant did was watched by the angles. They flew to Pra isuan, whos court was on the heavenly mountain of Krailat. They knelt down before his throne and told him what they had seen
Pra Isuan realized that Hiran was evil, and was abousing the favor he had been granted. He was very angry. He summoned pra narai, the mightiest of his godly followers, and commanded him to destroy the giant and replace the earth's surface on its foundation. Pra Narai flew to Badan, where he saw hiran showing off his power. He changed himself into a beautiful white boar, white as the white of an eye, and filled with strength. Pra Narai charged at hiren who, not realizing that the boar was really a god, beat him viciously with his club. Narai hacked and slashed with his tusks until the demon's head rolled n the dust. Thus the power of the evil one was brought to an end. The divine boar then the carpet of the earth and replaced it on its foundation.
