1) The results of the survey demonstrated that within some general common trends and patterns of Orthodox parish life, the differences among various American Orthodox jurisdictions in most measures remain great. The question is: are these differences growing or decreasing? More particularly, to what extent does the thesis about the growing “internal fragmentation” of American Orthodoxy on both denominational and parish levels proposed by A. Papanikolaou [Papanikolaou, 2003] reflect reality?
