Assessment of effectiveness of the vaccines.
The efficacy of the vaccines were evaluated based on the ability to induce an antibody response (as well as the titer by ELISA) after administration in swine.
Animal Care
The animals were in good health and nutritional status before the study was initiated. Prior to the randomization procedure a health examination was conducted. Non-medicated feed was used through the duration of the study. Feed rations were appropriate for the age, condition, and species of test animal according to facility standard operating procedure. Water was provided ad libitum throughout the study.
