Backorder Analysis Recommendation
Aggressive Parts Manager meet this challenge by frequently reviewing items their departments could not supply from local stock, called a Backorder Analysis. The minimum frequency recommended is a weekly analysis of 25 items at each store. A worksheet illustrated in this Partsgram may be printed locally or ordered on a Miscellaneous Material Order. After listing the part numbers (obtained from the file of Parts Sales Orders or Customer Backorders), pertinent
information for each item can be drawn from the stock records. The reasons for failure to supply will then be clearly identified.
