1. Prepare ingredients for cooking 2. Crack open two eggs and put into a bowl
3. Add a dash of milk. 4. Whisk the mixture until the egg is completely mixed into the milk.
5. Melt some butter or put some cooking oil into a frying pan and spread it around while heating on a medium setting
6. Pour the mixture of eggs and milk into the frying pan and leave for a few moments
7. After a minute or so use a spatula or fork to lift the edge of the omelette up to check the underside.
8. If it is going brown flip the omelette to cook the other side, if it is yellow with no brown spots then leave for a few moments more.
9. Check the second side once it has also been cooked for a few moments.
10. Use a fork or spatula to lift onto a plate and then finish off as desired
