The group process of 13 sessions can be divided into three stages: the initial stage (3 sessions); the working stage (8 sessions); and the final stage (2 sessions). The initial stage was based on structured activities aimed to develop a climate of trust, establish norms of speaking emotionally, and increase the language of support. In the working stage, group member brought up issues in the here and now, as well as the there and then (Yalom & Leszcz, 2005). They helped each other to engage in self-exploration, develop insight and resolve personal difficulties by questioning each other, sharing personal information, emotions, and experiences, and providing supportive feedback.
