The expertise of HRD professionals to facilitate the on going innovation and development of supply chains
must be implemented in practice (rather than just given lip service). The four interventions identified
provide an in valuable starting point for such interventions in relation to the HRD-SCM relationship to commence and to
be subsequently evaluated. Caseanalyses,field observations and in-depth interviews are identified as appropriate methodologies to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the HRD-SCH connection outlined conceptually in this paper
