ADAPTABLE ANIMALS
Tropical and temperate rain forest animals compete for food and shelter, so they must adapt to survive. Monkeys developed prehensile tails that can grasp branches. Other animals, such as this tree frog, sport bright colours to warn off predators or patterns to blend in with the forest. Still others have adapted a specialized diet and eat only one or two foods.
