One way of addressing this concern is through mandatory workshops or seminars for leaders
and management about the significance of cultural analysis in providing effective, targeted
training to global learners. Another solution is to help business leaders and managers become more culturally intelligent
themselves. Thomas and Inkson (2009) defined cultural intelligence (CQ) as
being skilled and flexible about understanding a culture,
learning more about it from your ongoing interactions
with it, and gradually reshaping your thinking to be more
sympathetic to the culture and developing your behavior
to be more skilled and appropriate with others from the
culture (p. 17).
