The system consists of a controller and a
motor driver. The controller uses INTEL 8031
as a master processor for coordinating and
controlling the overall operation o f t h e
system. HP HCTL-1000 motion control chip is
utilized as a slave processor for processing
input commands and encoder feedback and for
generating control profile. The controller
o u t p u t s PWM ( p u l s e w i d t h m o d u l a t i o n )
waveform. It is TTL-level output signal and
is utilized for motor control through a motor
driver.
