6.9 Unpaid Leave
The Company may, at its discretion, grant Unpaid Leave to an employee who had completed a minimum of one (1) year of service with the Group of Companies for the following purposes:-
To attend important matters.
To pursue higher education towards a recognized qualification this is of relevance to his/her job and of benefit to the Company.
To perform voluntary services sponsored by both Government and/or non-government organizations.
Health / medical reasons with Doctor’s certification.
Unpaid leave application is subjected to the management’s approval based on case by case basis and ALL Earned Annual Leave for the year must be exhausted prior to the application.
Written application for Unpaid Leave must be submitted at least thirty (30) days prior to commencement of the unpaid leave. Supporting documents must be furnished during application.
