In this study, based on a method of Wardayani [14], an HPLC-UV/Vis method was developed and
proposed for the determination four carotenoids contents such as α-carotene, β-carotene, α-cryptoxanthin and β- cryptoxanthin in P. conoideus oil. The optimization was needed due to the differences in the matrix of the sample analyzed. Using the proposed method, determination of the carotenoids in nine (9) clones of P. conoideus oils from Papua (Indonesia) was performed.
