The self myofascial release approach is a form of soft tissue therapy geared to reduce pain and improve mobility and function of the underlying muscle tissue.
This method uses palpatory feedback to achieve release of myofascial tissues.
This is proposed to be accomplished by relaxing contracted muscles, increasing circulation and lymphatic drainage, and stimulating the stretch reflex of muscle and overlying fascia.
The 3 following exercises will help improve your condition. Practice this routine 3 x per week for 3 weeks, and you will notice stunning differences in your posture. Note: SMR is an abbreviation for Self Myofascial Release.
