Low serum levels of vitamin A and B complex vitamins, notably thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, and folate, are associated with increased incidence of diarrhea and accelerated decline of immune function among PLWHA [10-13]. Conversely, nutritional status also largely influences the HIV disease process.
