Regionally, lean mass was lost in the arms, legs, and trunk, and fat mass was gained in the legs for all players (Table 4). The change in arm lean mass was not significant by position or seniority. There were interactions between position and seniority for the changes in leg and trunk lean mass that were similar to that seen in whole body lean mass change. There also was an interaction between position and seniority for the change in trunk fat mass similar to that seen in whole body fat mass change.
