THE torque-speed characteristic (TSC) of an induction rotating
machine is one of the main aspects to be considered
in the analysis of its behavior. Although more detailed representations
are available, the simplicity of obtaining the shape of
this curve in terms of equivalent circuits has led to a generalized
use for decades, [1], [2]. The determination of TSC is straightforward
from the parameters of the equivalent circuit: blocked
rotor resistances and reactances, magnetization reactance, and
iron loss resistance.
