The morphological and electrochemical tests of the samples
showed good resistance against degradation in chloride medium and in the salt spray analysis,
promoting improved of corrosion protection in an aggressive corrosion medium.
Although studies with composite PAni/TiO2 have been reported in the literature [16-21], to the
best of our knowledge, no studies have been performed on the influence of the different thickness of polymer and composites in the corrosive protection of carbon steel and welded
carbon steel. Thus, the aim of this work is the systematic analysis of the behaviour of PAni and
PAni/n-TiO2 synthesized in de-doped form as a coating with different numbers of layers for the
corrosion protection of carbon steel and welded carbon steel in a very aggressive medium such
as NaCl aqueous solution or in spray salt camera. The durability was also evaluated in terms of
