DATA AND METHODOLOGY
Data and Survey Instrument
This study is based on a consumer survey carried out using a structured
questionnaire covering six districts, namely Agra, Allahabad, Lucknow,
Gorakhpur, Jhansi, and Moradabad of Uttar Pradesh. A total of 618 respondents
were interviewed personally to know their preferences on eating out
and restaurant foodservices. The interview questionnaire was designed to
obtain information about respondent demographics, preferences for eating
out and restaurant visits, preferences for Indian cuisine and fast food, preferences
on foodservices offered at restaurants
