Tao had been having stomch pains for a couple hours but he didn't want to bother Kris at work. He figured he could wait a couple hours until Kris got home.
He looked out the large window in the apartment from where he was lounging on the couch. Snow covered the ground and there was snow falling lightly from the grey sky. This was unsual weather for Seoul. Usually, the snow melted within a couple days, but for the past couple days it constantly kept snowing and then the snow would ice over making the streets extrmemely dangerous. Tao had tried to beg the older not to go to work today, but he insisted.
Tao gasped as another sharp pain overtook his stomach. 3pm. He only had to wait 2 hours for Kris to get home and then maybe he could take him to the hospital. Tao knew that one of Kris' brothers would gladly take him, but Tao wanted it to be Kris.
Tao didn't really think that he was having the baby yet. He still had a week until his due date. So by waiting for Kris, he could find out for sure if he was really having the baby.
He laid down on the couch and tried to let sleep take him as he glanced out the window at the falling snow.
The next thing he knew he was being jolted awake by the sharpest pain he had felt throughout the day.
He looked at the clock, 5:30. Kris was late. Then his eyes caught the now large amounts of snow falling from the sky. He looked down to the street and saw traffic jam after traffic jam.
He felt more pain in his stomach, this time like he was being stabbed and he ended up yelling and grabbing at the couch for support.
He needed to call Kris.
The phone rang a couple times until his lover answered.
"Kris, where are you?" he gasped out as the pain became greater.
"I am in the lobby heading up. We won't be going anywhere tonight. All the traffic is at a complete standstill. And there is a lot of snow on the sidewalks almost making it impossible to walk." He heard Tao gasp again. "Babe what's wrong?"
"I don't know. Something isn't right. I think I am having the baby."
"Oh God. Okay I am almost there." Tao could hear Kris running and panting.
Finally the door to their apartment door opened and Kris rushed in to Tao's side. "What is it?"
"It hurts." Tao sobbed pointing to his stomach.
"It's okay. I will call the doctor." Kris led Tao to their bed and had him lay down on the sheets. But before Tao had a chance to lay down on the bed, he felt something strange between his legs.
"Kris, I think my water just broke."
Kris stared at Tao's pants for the slightest moment and then had him slip out of his wet pants and then onto the bed.
Kris left the room to call their doctor. He could hear Tao moaning in pain from the kitchen.
