Microbial Strains. Streptomyces strains isolated from the
rhizosphere of indigenous plants (Table 1(A)) and nonrhizosphere
samples of special Greek habitats (Table 1(B)) were
examined for their antifungal activity against Fusarium
oxysporum. The streptomycetes were maintained as spore
suspensions in 30% (w/v) glycerol at −20∘C
