.None of scientific reports about the use of
pigments from roselle on C. auratus have been
described before. However, C. lalia has been used as
betalains and anthocyanin source (Baron et al., 2008).
In this study, the histological analysis displayed an
aggregation of chromatophores cells with high level
in caudal fin on C. auratus. These pigment cells could
be induced by pigment source supplied to diet
(Paripatanamont et al., 1999; Gouveia et al., 2003).
