The modelling extension neither predefines types of situations nor observable objects as both are only identified by names or identifiers, respectively. Thus, each situation and object that can be observed by the connected Situation Recognition System is inherently supported by SITME. In addition, the transformation into standard-compliant workflow languages preserves this extensibility as the generic constructs of SITME, namely Situation Event and Situational Scope, can be mapped to generic workflow modelling constructs, as shown in our validation in the scope of BPEL (cf. Section 4).
