Quality assurance plan and review
QAP as an encouragement to attend to standards
The QAP encourages attention to standards.
The problem generally is not that standards do not exist, but that they fall into disuse.
If people are told clearly and precisely where the relevant quality checks and standards are to be found, then there is more chance of them being observed.
QAP examples
Plans must be tailored. No single quality plan will suit all project environments and circumstances but there are many examples of QAPs to follow.
Formulating the QA plan
A customised QA plan can be formulated fairly easily by producing a QA matrix using combined OBS and WBS elements, broken down into work packages and assigned using a TRM.
