For this purpose 209 accessions of three Capsicum species, Capsicum annuum var. annuum, C. frutescens and C. pubescens, from the National Agrobiodiversity Center of RDA, Korea, were screened against C. acutatum in Table 1. Ten pepper seeds of each accession were disinfected with 2% NaOCl for 4 hrs and washed with tap water at several times and pregerminated on the moist filter paper in petri-dish at 30oC for one-week in light condition.
