The aim of this study is to compare the activity of different metal ions, i.e., iron, cobalt, and rhodium, in N2O decomposition.
With this in mind, we determined the reaction energy diagrams of the reaction catalysed by single sites, including energies of intermediates and activation energies, as well as the nature of the metal–oxygen bonds in adsorption complexes and the nature of the transition states.
We also compare present results with those obtained for similar Alcontaining models [4] and with available experimental data.
