During the month of February I travelled to Australia for holidays with my family -
Paul Durant (father), SIrinath Durant (mother) and Sirirasamee Durant (sister).
On the morning of Sunday 15th February, in Brisbane, my father woke up with distorted vision in
his left eye.
That day he went to the emergency section of the Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital. The doctors
inspected his eye and then called in a specialist eye doctor. He diagnosed a detached
retina that required urgent surgery - refer diagnosis on report from the hospital.
My family and I were due to fly to Melbourne (from Brisbane) on Tuesday 17th February, spend
a few days there and then fly direct back to Bangkok on Saturday 21st February. เท view of the
diagnosis we cancelled our flights to Melbourne and flew direct back to Bangkok from Brisbane.
Thai Always were able to change our Melbourne / Bangkok flights to be Brisbane / Bangkok.
There was a fee of THB 7,103.03 for changing the 3 tickets (myself, mother and sister).
My father had to cancel his Thai Always flight and return on an emergency flight ahead of us
with another airline.
