Given the nationwide safety week (July 1 to 7), Toyota Boshoku has designated the entire month of July (July 1 to 31) as the Safety Month. Various activities will be implemented during this period to promote the "mutual enlightenment safety activity" and to achieve zero occupational accidents.
I thank all the Toyota Boshoku Group employees for their serious and enthusiastic attitude toward the Safety and Health Activity.
Based on the global policy in "rebuilding the safety management system to target zero accidents", the entire TB Group carried out the STOP 6 safety check and made improvements as part of the main activities to lift up the safety level. As a result, we achieved "zero fatal accidents", which had been unachievable for three consecutive years.
The number of accidents in TB Japan decreased from 19 to 17 this year, however there were unfortunately 4 absence accident included.
In FY 2014, we will promote "human development" that enables implementation of the "mutual enlightenment safety activity" under the policy of "achieving a safe and healthy workplace through development of personnel with strong beliefs to achieve zero accidents". Further, the STOP 6 safety check will be implemented at least four times a year by the plant manager following last year's approaches in continuously improving the safety level.
During this year’s Safety Month, let us "raise everyone's awareness toward safety, be thoughtful to each other, and create a safe, secured, and healthy workplace where we can give advice to each other".
