The mission of nursing in society is to help individuals, families and groups to determine and achieve their physical, mental and social potential, and to do so within the challenging context of the environment in which they live and work. This requires nurses to develop and perform functions that relate to the promotion and maintenance of health as well as to the prevention of ill health.
My goal is to continually protect the well being of the patients and the future of nursing. The nurse - who is the professional practitioner of nursing - accepts responsibility for and exercises the requisite authority in the direct provision of nursing care to individuals, families, groups and communities. Though a nurse doesn't achieve that fame that she deserves in the society, but still she is self-satisfied on her contributions to the patients and the society on the whole, and this is what she wants to achieve in the present as well as in the future. My future goal is to overcome the obstacles that compromise quality care and my own professional achievement.
