Attribution biases are the product of heuristics that we use in explaining another's conduct in terms of dispositional causes( characteristics of the person) or of situational causes( the environment in which they act、 such that we are more prone to focus、 in the case of the in- group( the group to which we belong、 on dispositional causes when this generates a posi- tive Judgement and situational cause s when this cancels a negative Judgement、 whereas in the case of the out- group( the group that contrasts with the group to which we belong) 、 we are more prone to focus on dispositional causes when this generates a negative judgment and on situational causes when this cancels a positive judgment.
