Even if ecomonic crisis still hits all over Italy and Europe, Italians’ passion for a good bottle of wine doesn’t change. Called by Italians «the drink of God», wine is consumed by more than 53% of the population.
Now, which are the Italians’ fovourite varieties? According to Italian Association of sommelier, Tuscan made Chianti takes the first place. Right behind it, there are Barbera (made in Piemonte, in the North of Italy) and Brunello di Montalcino, a typical red wine produced in the namesake town of Montalcino.
More surprising is to discover that five-stars wines are appreciated n0t only by devotees, nut overall by young people between the age of 25 and 35. They expressed their perference to a cafty product made in their own land when talking about wine.
