Fig. 5 shows results obtained for hexane and ultrasoundassisted
aqueous extraction using parboiled and raw rice bran.
Both extraction methods gives higher percentage of oil from par
boiled rice bran compared with raw rice bran. This may be due
to the fact that parboiling releases the oil in the grain and results
in outward migration of the oil (Kumar Anil, Khatoon, Prabhakar,
& Gopala Krishna, 2006).
