Patient Order CT Brain Without Contrast
CT SCAN OF THE BRAIN
HISTORY Fall down.
Technique: Axial CT scan of the brain is performed with 4-mm slice thickness from the brain with no contrast administration.
Findings:
The study reveals crescent shaped iso to hypodensity along bilateral
frontoparietotemporal regions with mild hyperdense area, measured about 1.0 and0.5 cm in maximal thickness, likely acute to subscute subdural hematoma. Generalized brain edema is
also noted.
Midline shifting to let side is presented, measured about 0.5 cm.
No acute intraaxial hemorrhage is seen.
No ventricular dilatation or hydrocephalus is detected.
Paranasal sinuses, mastoid air cells and both orbits appear unremarkable.
Bony skull is intact.
Impression:
- Acute to subscute subdural hematoma at bilateral frontoparietaotemporal regions, causing midline shiting to left side
- Generalized brain edema.
